South Philadelphia, born and raised, but North Philadelphia is where she stayed. West Philly is sometimes where her head would lay. Uptown and Germantown is where she participated in community events. The church is where her core time is spent. She calls herself a hustler of her culture. She spreads love and tells her story like a modern day griot is supposed to. First blessed the stage with the name LadygoHard. On South Street headlining showcases at clubs, before she could even buy a drink at the bars. Grew up, went through some things and added the name Ladygohard to her list of scars. Nowadays she goes by BoogieRose and is still surprising her audiences with her knowledge of self. Knowledge of the streets, business, and she passes off “the man’s knowledge” thanks to the debt and degree under her belt. Most artists create beautiful art because of the ugly scars and stories they marry.  She mentors and speaks out in her community, She uses her life speaks against book bags and says instead in our minds should be the books that we carry. She encourages education, and speaks and rallies for all peace and unity.  The world is her stage and her saying “watch me, do me”. No one can do it quite like BoogieRose.
